6 weeks with a heart rate of 117 but not able to measure?

I think I am freaking out over nothing but I am hoping you can give me some insight.  I went in for an ultrasound at 6 weeks 3 days and they saw a yolk sac and a heart beat flicker at 117 but she said that she isn't able to measure so I may not be as far along.  So how can we see a heart beat but not able to measure?  I go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound.

Thank you for your response.  It is just so scary waiting.  I wish she would have just said, there is a heart beat and left it at that.

Because the heartbeat is very distinctive but everything else must have been so tiny and/or so dark. Seeing the heartbeat is GREAT so don't freak.
