What's YOUR baby's name?!

Now that we are all finding out the genders (or waiting to be surprised at birth)... we must all be thinking about baby names. If you're like me you had them picked out long before conception. Or you may still be thinking about it.

Post your name or name ideas here!

I want to know what we're all calling our little ones if you want to share!

I will start!

We had names picked out before we got pregnant. We had Caiden Isaac picked out for a boy. It was a name we've actually had for 5 years. The name has quickly grown in popularity but it has such significant meaning to us we still plan to use it when we have a boy.

But... we're not having a boy! We're having a girl. Daddy is picking out her middle name and is taking his SWEET time. But her first name is..........

........... Zoe!

Some middle names he's thinking over are:

Zoe Evangeline
Zoe Olivia
Zoe Teyla (or some such spelling)
Zoe Danielle

I think he's leaning toward Zoe Danielle (his name is Daniel).

Zoe is my 12 year old lil sisters name. Now it is so popular but 12 years ago people thought that name was so weird. lol

I never thought picking out a name would be so difficult. Me and hubby have been going back and forth for a long time over names. Hubby is Muslim so he wants to have a Muslim name. We both agreed upon Medina and Layla (always been my favorite). So I think her name will be Leila Medina (as a middle name).

I never hear Zoe anywhere. I live in a big, urban city so all the names I hear are Kodeng and Sunday and Lakeesha. LOL!

Most of the kids I know are from the Sudan so they have very unusual names. And a lot of the kids we know are African American. Like one teen we know is named Jugbear (juh-bear is how it is pronounced). Definitely a different culture here!

I'm from the UK so Charlotte (our choice, as we know we are having a girl) may sound strange to you guys, there's a place called Charlotte out there right???

But in the UK Charlotte is a really pretty traditional name.

She'll be :-   Charlotte Elizabeth.

We're gonna call her Lotty at home, like when we're playing with her. Sounds cute.

Do you like it?

We know we are having a boy and his name will be Nicholas Decatur.

When I was pregnant with my older son my husband decided the only name he liked was Nicholas so that was supposed to be his name, then it hit him one day "what if we have a second boy?"  So we went with the junior (Andrew Junior, we call him AJ)  the first time around and knew it would be Nicholas this time.  (I had no problem with it since I loved the name Andrew since before I ever met my husband).
Decatur is my fil middle name and his grand fathers middle name so it kind of skipped a generation so we thought it would be nice to keep that going.  so it will be my sons middle name, his grandfathers middle name and his great great grandfathers middle name.

Yes I do like Charlotte.  We do have that name around here but it is not a hugely popular name.  Very pretty though!

I think "Lotty" and Charlotte are cute! Reminds me of Phantom of the Opera because that was her nickname. Very cool!

Everyone has such lovely names picked out! I have a sweet spot for the name Audrey. If you visit audreycaroline.blogspot.com you'll see why (read the blog from the beginning).

Love Isaac! That's the middle name choice we have if we EVER have a boy, LOL!

godness, thanks Joy....for sharing the blog, but it had me and my hubby crying. I just hope we don't think of our princess and think of that sad story when we say her name. Wish I wouln't have watched it at least not now. I don't think I would ever be that strong and courageous. Thanks for sharing though

Its alright. My hubby and my Opa *Grandfather* don't like how I am spelling Beau. They both like Bo. However my Opa with some of his family and mine as well say its redneck hick name and keep coming up with other names that is how I know they don't much care for it. LOL. What do they expect. My hubby is a country boy and I am a country girl. LOL. Oh well. Too bad its our names no the birth certificates and not theirs.

Howdy,
We spent the first 3 months battling about boy names cause I was sure it was a boy, we just got that once sorted out Mason William Stuart and we were hit with the fact that she's a girl....... so........

Mackenzie Katherine Stuart will be her name I think. Katherine is my hubby's mother's name, she's deceased since he was 17.  We had a problem because were were never having children so when I got my fur babies I named them all the names I liked in the world.

Damian (rip baby man), Liam, Kenzie, Jezebell and Ellie.  I would have named a boy Liam (I'm sure Liam the cat wouldn't have minded) but we were going to go with Mason to avoid confusion. I also like the name Morgan.

We are having a boy, William John will be his name!!!  Both of our fathers have passed and we decided to use their first names to make the babys name.  Also, my husbands parents named him William but used a different middle name than his dads so he isn't a jr or anything.  So we were also able to pass on that tradition and as it turns out our baby will have my hubbys fathers ititials!!!

I think that sounds very confusing but I hope you understand!!!  :)

PS--JoyRenee--thanks for the info on that blog....I can't stop reading it now...i'm still in 2008 though!!!  :)
