Is jumping or hopping dangerous in the 1trimester???

Lately I have been feeling paranoid because I don't know if I did any harm to my baby. I went for a screening test for my 5yr old son and one of the test for him was to see if he could hop and jump on one foot so the lady asked me if I could demonstrate it for him and at the momment I didn't think nothing of it. Do you ladies think that it harms your baby when your in the 1st trimester?????? I'm so worried now. Is that like shaking your baby?????

It's okay to worry! Parenthood begins at conception so you're just worried about your sweet baby. Don't feel silly!

Yea...In the first trimester I was actually jump roping one time and then freaked out because I wasn't sure it was okay, so I haven't done it since. lol. But now my belly is growing and it would be uncomfortable to do that. And my baby is perfectly healthy! not to worry! I will go check out your pictures!! =)

kellyjo, I really don't think you should worry, babies are more solid than that.
my gym teacher was giving step/aerobic classes until she was 6 months prg and I tell you, she jumped! also my sister in law was in Disneyland without knowing she was 2 months pregnant and she loves rollercoasters ;)
I guess there is always a risk but just jumping a few times should not worry you. I am a clown myself and babysit my 5 year old nephew once a week, and when I'm with him I do everything like him (dancing, jumping, etc) because I just feel 5 years old and forget that II'm pregnant :D

as long as you don't have any signs to worry (bleeding, cramping), just don't.
I saw in your mood that you have your us tomorrow, you will see that everything's fine!

take care

As long as you have no abnormal bleeding it is fine.  Before my bleeding my doc told me not to change a thing that I do.  I can do my normal gym routine with all equipment.  (too bad my routine is sitting and the equipement is the couch!)  Once the bleeding started he told me to relax a bit as we dont want to irritate it and break off the "scab" again.  i wouldnt worry about it one bit!
