due tomorrow!

so i reach 40 weeks tomorrow at last! but i was just wanderign what to expect in my midwife appointment. she is coming to see me at home in the morning, but has not said whats going to happen. i have not seen her since 38 weeks, and she has not yet given me an internal examination.

so excited now!

any comments / advice would be appreciated!

she said, if i have not gone in by ext tuesday (41 weeks) that she would do one then! just cant wait to meet my little one!

I wonder why she didn't do an internal? You can request one!

midwife has just been to see me. baby is measurig 38 in, is 4/5ths engaged and is still facing my left but slightly more back to back, so no progress really since 2 weeks ago! no internal examination or anything so i have no idea how dilated / effaced i am! ah well, will just have to wait and see what happens!! next appointment is in a week!

thanks! i have not been checked once since being pregnant, even though this is my first and i had a LEEP done a few days before getting pregnant!!

my doula is a cert. midwife and she told me that my ob would check me at like 37w, and then any more internals are not necessary.  that i will go when i go, and that the internals don't really tell us how close we are to going.  however, it is kinda nice to know that our bodies are in fact getting ready and changing.  so she may not give you an internal, but i would ask her to if you want to know.
