21 weeks 5 days and not feeling baby?

So I'm almost 22 weeks and I haven't felt ANYTHING! Once I thought I felt the baby all day long but it never happened again so I'm assuming it was gas (and I was pretty gassy that day). At my 19w3day ultrasound the tech said the placenta was positioned in a way that blocked me from feeling most of the movement but as the baby got bigger I should feel him. Well it's been a couple of weeks and I am still not feeling anything, is this normal? Anyone else experienced this or experiencing it?

So over the past 2 days Gabriel has gotten more active! I felt him twice yesterday for about 5 min. intervals and today early in the morning and in the afternoon during my doctors visit I swear I could feel it on the outside! His heart beat was 160 too so I know he was moving around :-) I told the hubby and he can't wait to get off work and see if he can feel it. I don't think he will be able to though because I'm not sure if it was just a real strong kick to the inside but not quite to the outside or what (if that makes any sense).

Well you're feeling something. Some babies are more active than others... I didn't feel my daughter till I was almost 6 months!!! She is VERY active now but in the womb not as much. With this baby I felt him at 4 months!! And it was the exact same feeling as with my daughter, only a lot sooner!! Don't worry, you'll feel the baby move eventually!!

I also have an anterior placenta. I'm 20 weeks and can't wait until I can feel a nice kick! I wouldn't worry too much. Some women at your point still don't feel their baby kick no matter how their placenta is! People say it can even take up to 25 weeks!!

Hi there i was in the same baost as you as of yesterday i have an anterior placenta and this is my 5 th baby I could feel all the others at around 16 weeks but this one i only started feeling yesterday 22weeks still i can only just feel the movement. I am sure as the pregnancy progresses and the bigger bub gets you will feel the movement i have heard it can take up to 24 weeks to feel bubba with an anterior placenta it will happen i hope soon for you its a wonderful feeling..

I agree with Clysta. I believe this is your first pregnancy and if the placenta is infront of the baby you won't feel as much movement. By 24 weeks you should feel something... even with this being my 2nd pregnancy sometimes I don't feel anything for a couple of days. Its normal since the baby is still tiny enough to not be strong enough to be felt and be able to hide in some places.

They might just not be strong enough yet to be felt. First time moms (if you're a first time mom anyways) sometimes don't feel them for a long time. Most will feel movement by 24 weeks though. What you can try doing is drinking orange juice or something really sweet like cake and then pushing your hand into your belly. I've done this a lot and I'll feel the kicks against the palm of my hand but not against my belly. (If that makes any sense) If you're still concerned you can call your doctor and they might be able to get you in to check and see if there is any problems.
