Baby Furniture...

Okay ladies... I know that most of you ladies have a good idea of what kind of furniture you are getting for your little ones! Well I have looked at about 10000 different sites and I have no idea what kind of baby furniture to get this little girl! I have this great little room for Marley (still going to paint) but it has the most beautiful light/med colored hardwood floor. I always have loved the dark wood (espresso or black) but now since I am having a girl I am thinking about either an espresso or white (heaven forbid!) If I do get permission to paint I will be painting the Glidden fuscia pink color and with the wood floors it is going to look awesome! I just need some input on the kinds of furniture (it is kind of a small room so just a crib/changing table and maybe a dresser depending on how I can organize her closet and all of the furniture must match because I am crazy like that!) that would be best to get... I am just so overwhelmed! LOL! Thank you ladies!

UPDATE so I finally decided on furniture! It is a collection from Babies R Us and it is actually WHITE! I can't believe that I am actually getting white but I think for a girl it just suits her =)

Thanks for all of the input! I am still not sure exactly what I am going to do but at least I have the bedding picked out for her!

I would go with white for your little girl. I've always thought white furniture suited girl's rooms best...maybe because I had a white set when I was growing up and I loved it!! It'll definitely look good with pink and the wooden floors your talking about. Sometimes the finish on that expresso stuff can chip easily and it's so easy to see and difficult to cover. Whereas white would be easy to touch up for sure!

I'm doing cream colored furniture because her bedding is cream, pink and light gray. I think the white is slightly girly and Aspen already has the espresso colored furniture so I wanted something different. Instead of getting a changing table and a dresser you can always get a dresser that has the attachment for a changing pad on top. Thats what I am doing! Anyway you do it I'm sure your daughters room is going to look beautiful!

What we did was get a crib that converted into a full size bed (and toddler bed), we bought all the extensions and everything.  We got a small(ish) changing table, and just use a small tall dresser.  Once our son started crawling and walking we no longer use the dresser for anything as he just empty's it out.  It was my old dresser from when I was a little girl, if you want a dresser I'd suggest looking at a rummage or second hand place.  We had a son, and now are expecting a little girl.  The crib (her bed) is a dark cherry color, I like it much better and I'm sure she won't mind at all.  If you prefer the dark colors go for it!

Ah I was really thinking about the white but I am not so sure (I really prefer the dark furniture)... I am thinking espresso or black furniture but they also have this almost pink cherry wood furniture too. I think it is going to take me forever to decide what color the furniture should be. I don't want to paint the room and have it shrink anymore than it already is... but I think the fuscia is still a great color =) I am going to get a sample and if it is too much then I can always repaint that spot =)

My daughters room has cream colored walls but I chose pink curtains with a funny tie dye-ish sort of design, and I decorated with pink butterflies flying up the walls and a pink comforter with cute little butterflies and beetles. Her crib and dresser are black and it all goes really well, and it can also grow with her and whatever colors we change in her room. I think with the light colored floors black would probably look best. I wouldn't do white because it'll look too washed out... that's my opinion. We have light wood floors too...
