Is it too early to show.

As some of you ladies know I am not a tiny person but I am not huge either. But I am starting to show already at 9 weeks and I was wondering if that was too early with my first baby? The nurse said I may just be bloated and look like I am showing or it may be twins. Dont get me wrong I am happy I am pregnant but I really cant handle twins. Could someone please give me some advice?

Its probably bloating. My first pregnancy my jeans got a little bit tight and then at around 12 weeks it just stopped and I was back to normal and then a couple weeks later I started to put on the real baby belly.

Its probably bloating..this morning I noticed my pants barely buttoned up this  morning. I'm sure its bloating me for too however its my 3rd pregnancy. My last one ended in Nov and I didnt lose any of the weight. So i'm expecting to start wearing my band pretty soon.

Wow I was huge with both of my sons but I didn't start showing until about 5 months and then popped at 7 months and then stayed that way :) I am having terrible bloating and I wasn't as small this time and I am already looking pregnant at 8 weeks lol....

My sister started showing at 6 weeks and she got huge by about 5 months and never got any bigger after that. Maybe you are just one of those women who pops fast and stays looking like that. I'm the opposite. I never hardly show.... I only gained about 4 inches around my waist with my first son. Who knows!

Thanks for the info. I am a little on the heavier side but I know that I am starting to show a little. This is my first pregnancy so I dont know what to expect. I will know for sure next friday on the 5th how many little ones I am expecting and I just wanted some advice from some women who already knew. I guess we will see what happens.

if your ab mussles are not as strong then you will show sooner.  Also if this is your second pregnancy, then showing how isn't totally crazy.  I swear I'm showing, and if someone saw me and didn't know they may think I'm pregnant, (but I've got left over fat from my last pregnancy, and I'm bloated, etc).  Do you "feel" bloated?  And how much are you "showing"  I remember at 9 weeks for even my first pregnancy (I was very thin) I could easily tell I was showing between me and DH, however with my clothing, it hid the bump, so it wasn't as noticeable.

Just because you'r "showing" early, doesn't mean your going to have twins!  It can be a sign (as well as very high hCG numbers), but many women show very early and don't have twins (or large baby), and others have very high hCG numbers but don't have twins.  Every pregnancy is different, You won't know until you have the ultrasound

I'm betting big time that you are just bloated. If you are bigger than I guess it does take a long time to actually show and you wouldn't really gain that much weight either. Ooh I know what you mean about twins...I had that thought this morning and had a mini freak out!! LOL I am no place to handle twins! Have you had an ultrasound yet? Must not since you don't know how many are in there!!
