Measuring small!

Everyone is having issues measuring too big...I'm the opposite. Two weeks ago I saw my midwife at 32 weeks and was measuring at 31. She said it's probably because he's dropped into my pelvis already. Well he's still down there...heart rate is perfect, and he's still head down but I'm supposed to be 34 weeks tomorrow and I'm still measuring at 31 weeks?! I'm upset about this....she told me not to worry but mentioned that if I'm still measuring small at my next appt at 36 weeks then we will have to do an ultrasound.
Anyone have any insight as to help ease my mind?!

.I'm having the opposite. Today  I saw my doctor at 32 weeks and was measuring at 30. She said that your fetal growth is slow. ! I'm upset about this....she told me not to worry but mentioned that if I'm still measuring small at my next appt at 36 weeks then we will have to do an ultrasound.
Anyone have any insight as to help ease my mind?

Thank you so much ladies and yes SZW I am the same way....when I lay on my back my tummy sinks down too like that. This all makes me feel so much better. And I know my stomach is getting bigger too because there are a few of my mat shirts that I'm starting to actually grow out of and I've started to get itty bitty stretch marks as well!

I also measure small when they measure with the tape, but I had an ultrasound last week I think it was an baby was measuring almost two weeks ahead size wise... I know when I lay on my back for them to measure, my halfway normal sized bump almost disappears! I was just joking with my husband the other night that if I lay on my back no one would know I was pregnant! I wouldn't worry about it at all. Let's put it this way numbers wise.... three weeks ago I measured 29 and now at my 34 week appointment I measured 29.5 and I know my stomach has gotten bigger- my shirts I wore two weeks ago now are WAY tight...

At 30 weeks I was measuring 28 weeks on top of that I was losing weight so had to get another ultrasound at 32 weeks and she was measuring right on track i think after a certain point measurements are all estimates becauSe the baby is bigger and can't be accuratly measured so just hang in there 1 month to go!

Yeah its by ultrasound they get worried. When Im measured by tape I measure right on but by ultrasound im small. I know that by stomach measurements its easy to be off since some babys sit back further or are more out in front of are curled in a ball vs stretched out. Lots of room for mistake.

Yes by the tape! Thank you for your answer...it does make me feel better.
It was the same midwife I had 2 weeks ago and I remember she had a hard time getting down under my ribs to measure and said I had nice tight abdominal muscles still so I'm hoping that's the reason. I'm also long waisted and he is down in my pelvis. She actually asked if I was feeling a lot of pressure..which I only feel when I'm sitting or bending over. He moves fine and his heart rate was good so I'm hoping maybe he'll just have a growth spurt or be just fine...I've read a little bit and it's said that the tape is actually pretty inaccurate too.

Try not to worry too much. I assume you mean you're measuring small by the tape? If so, there are a lot of things that can mess with it. I've been measuring off for awhile now. At 33 weeks I was measuring 27 weeks, and now at 38 weeks I'm measuring 34 weeks. Ultrasound showed my baby to be perfectly fine and right on track. Do you have the same person that does the measurements every time, or do you see a different doctor each time? That can change it as well since each person does theirs a little differently and might not measure in the exact same way as the other.
