Mood Swings :(

I've been having some serious issues with Mood Swings, I'm feeling a bit on the bi-polor side of things.  Has anyone found ways to help with mood swings and feel more like yourselves again?  This is the part of pregnancy I hated the most, and with my first I had horrible mood swings the entire pregnancy :(

Any foods help?  I'm doing Yoga, but it's just once a week class, and with added stress of looking for a job while pregnant, ugh, I just don't know what to do!

Aw, that's too bad that they want to move your position :/ That's totally understandable why you would choose to find something else. I hope things pan out soon. I'm sure once you get settled in somewhere else, things will smooth out for you. I find that certain things tend to set me off, and try to avoid them. I know you cant avoid  the job thing, but maybe theres other things that you can avoid. The biggest stresser for me is looking things up on the internet, lol.
I left my last job because of dangerous chemicals during my last pregnancy, so I can understand what you are going through right now. I'm still at the same job I found too, just to let you know, if that helps to ease your stress some.

My job isn't that stressful, only knowing your loosing it, lol.  I'm in IT, and it's generally not that bad, I would love a career change, but I can't attempt that till DH is done with school and working.

I will defiantly start adding more exercise in, I haven't done a lot yet, and with my first pregnancy I really didn't do anything.

oh and I just read the bit about your job being overwhelming... yeah, that could very well be adding to your stress level, and making you more irritable and moody. We need rest, especially at this time in our pregnancy, it's a crucial time, our bodies are creating a human being!!! I suggest if you're thinking of switching jobs, try something that's in a low-stress environment! And definitely take a few days in between changing jobs!!! Good luck, hope you feel better!

Ahhh, the joy of mood swings. I didn't even know I was having them, I was in such denial about it! ha ha... but honestly, I think yoga and exercise is probably the best thing for you! I was REALLY bad with my first pregnancy, I cried all the time, I got angry a lot, and threw temper tantrums, I felt like a walking time bomb- ready to explode at any given moment!! It was definitely pretty awful.

I have found that exercise has REALLY HELPED ME!!  I watched a very sad movie last night and didn't even shed a tear (weird), I haven't been all that moody (I don't think, Ha!) and I feel like I have more patience than with my first pregnancy. I exercise regularly, and I really think that's the key to my lack of mood swings. See if you can't squeeze in a little more exercise time!!  Mornings are the best, but if that doesn't work for you, just try it whenever you can!

Thanks everyone!  I might be able to find a job I could do from home, but I know I wouldn't get much done.  DH is home with DS and it can be hard to get much done at home with all the distractions.  I've been looking a little harder and I'm finding more and more to apply to, I really hope once I start interviewing or get a Job offer that things slow down a little.  If I can I may take a week or at least a few days break between starting the new Job (If I can) just so I can try to relax a little.

I guess it's back to trying to figure out how to manage the stress.

persephonespryd - Good luck at your interview!  It's nice to know I'm not alone it it all.

I hope today is a better day for you.

I wish I had a magic potion for you to take but I do not. I have tried everything... I think its just our body adapting to the life that is inside of us. Take it with joy.

The perfect job is out there before you know if you will get an amazing offer.

Good Luck on the job hunt.
Say positve :-)

I've been moody too. For me I think it's the lack of sleep and the being uncomfortable all the time that sets it off.

I understand the looking for a new job thing. I actually have an interview later today.
Needless to say, I've been stressed out and that adds to the pressure. I think that we, as women, take on waaaaay too much. It was never meant to be this way.

Can you (as IT) work from home? That might be a good option for you. :)

Good luck on the job search and I hope you find something soon!

Well, there moving my position several states south, and it's not in a location that my family can easily move to at the time.  My husband is a stay at home dad, so finding something is kind of a must (I have an IT degree and am finding lots to apply to so far, so hopefully it will work out).

I would LOVE to sleep more, but it's just not really an option, I already go to bed early, I do take naps on the weekends and it does help a little.  I'm trying to find some good Yoga tapes for home.  I think it's just worse because I can't sleep more and there is a lot more added stress.

Thanks, I just wish there was more I could do to help with the mood swings.

Ugh, the dreaded moodswings. I had it bad during my last PG but this time I seem to have gotten off light. Though I have had a few good ones this time around.
If yoga is working for you, maybe you should see about getting a video to practice while at home. I've been looking around for one too.
I found soothing music helps, and making sure I get enough zz's too. (I take naps during the day.) I also like to take long showers sitting down, and let the water pour on me, and just listen to the sound the water makes.
I'm really sorry about the job thing, I think that was my biggest stress during my last PG, and though I'm not getting enough hours where I am now, I decided I don't want to go through the stress of finding a new job while PG again. I dont know what your situation at work is like, though I'm sure you have good reasons to. I really hope you get the work thing straightened out soon, so you can relax.  :)
