Potty training!

Ok, when do you gals plan on starting potty training?
I've heard many different ages, some are just crazy young and some wait for a long time!

Thanks! I just read somewhere that around 18 months is when their muscles and stuff are fully mature and they can actually tell when they are or need go. I too don't want two in diapers and want to do it asap but don't wanna try too early and ruin it for him for a long time. Brady will be about 20 months when our new baby will come so I think maybe we will try around then.

My mom trained my little brother around 18 months because he was always taking his diaper off. She couldn't get him to keep it on so she decided to try to potty train him and it took a couple of weeks but worked. I think it depends on if your child is reading and showing signs

With another one on the way, I for sure plan on potty training soon so that I can take a small break from diapers!!! I actually potty trained my oldest daughter at the age of 2 and it was pretty easy. I put her potty in front of a TV and sat her there until she did what she had to do and then I would clap when she did and she'd get excited and want to do it again. Let's see if Briana is that easy to potty train!!

I heard from one of my early childhood teachers if u wait until they show an interest in the potty and using it normally about 2 years old. Then they dont take very long to train. The longest it took her to train any of her three kids was 1 week. So thats how my DH and I are going to do it.
