Pre-registration at the Hospital

Hello ladies I just wanted to see who has or hasn't pre-registered at the hospital where they will be delivering, or to remind you that it's getting down to the end of our pregnancies and should be done very soon =0) I just got done pre-registering today since we had a lil scare last night and ended up in the L&D, but everything is fine for now, it was super fast and took about 15-20min all I had to do was sign some papers and answer a few questions. I pre-registered with my first son as well that way I didn't have to deal with all the papers while I was labor.

I did my pre-registration online a few wks ago and already got a letter saying everything was complete. Then another letter came and said I needed to pay my co-pay a few weeks before my due date. LOL I guess they want their money now.

I went for a tour of the maternity ward at the hospital I'm going to when I was like 27 weeks and they gave me the pre-registration packet which I took home to fill out and send in. The only thing I have to do now is call and change my insurance info. :-)

I havent pre registered yet but my doctor is going to tell me when I need to- I think its after 30 weeks? I remember getting a pamphlet when I first found out I was pregnant giving me all the info on when to register but its somewhere packed away in a box and I dont feel like bending and digging looking for it lol- easier to just ask my  doctor at my next appointment

Heatherm4 - I did the classes at the hospital during our first pregnancy and it was nice.  Although we learned a LOT more out of the one week newborn class then we did during the other general prenatal classes.  This time we are not taking any classes as our son is only 2 years old and we didn't think it was worth our time.

Well I had preregistered but I have to switch hospitals b/c my OB isnt allowed at the hospital I was gong to go to. So I have to take a tour of the one she is allowed at and preregister there. Oh the joys of pregnancy.

I think I'll be pre-registering when we do our tour during our classes! Is anyone else doing prenatal classes? Reading up on it..it sounds like a lot of things I already know but I think it's more beneficial for DH cuz he won't pick up a book for anything! LOL

Honestly I can't remember.  I was meaning to ask my midwife but I keep forgetting to.  This week I'll be going through my paperwork and see if I can find the form.  With my first pregnancy I pre-registered when I started the second trimester.  So If I haven't yet I'm way behind!

My OB's office is in the hospital, but they still want us to pre-register so everything is on file in the correct place.

I preregistered the last time I went in for the maternity ward tour. I need to call or go by and make sure that they got the paper and need to talk to my Ob the next time I see her and make sure she delivers at the hospital. I am sure she does but I have to make sure. I need to see when I need to talk to her about my birth plan. I am getting so excited! I have 13 weeks left and it seems like its flying by.

As far as I know I don't need to pre register either, my OB's office is in the hospital. If I do, she will let me know when the time comes. She did mention that later on, we will go over my birth plan.

The hospital I'm delivering at doesn't require any pre-registration either. They take care of everything for you at my doctors office and than like nickie said I just have to sign something.

My hubby is in the military (Air Force) and (as long as they're not super busy on the L&D floor then they won't send me to another hospital!) on my first prenatal appointment (which was at 15.5 weeks when I was released from my fertility doctor) all I had to do was go to the registration desk after orientation and my paper work was already filled out and all I had to do was make sure that the info was correct and I signed. Easy peasy.

No I haven't yet. I have my package to do it, but my midwife told me sometime between 32-35 weeks is a good time to go in and do it. I have to fill out all the forms first. And scheudle the tour haha.
