Update on Doctor's Appointment! Shocker!

Okay! So exciting news... I had what was supposed to be my 24 week appointment yesterday. DH and my youngest (Richie) went to the appointment with me... Normal stuff weight (I have now gained a total of 22 pounds! YIKES) blood pressure, Marley's heart rate (142 bpm) and even the nurse commented that her chest was right above my belly button (way higher than what it should have been at 24 weeks)... So another OB in training came into the room to ask me a bunch of questions (bleeding, contractions, losing water) and of course all of the answers were no... I have been having this numbing/tingling in my hands and wrists and also some swelling in my ankles =( So he sends in the doctor (since I go to a military hospital we are on a rotation and you can see different doctors) which I had never met before and THANK GOODNESS she is the best doctor on the rotation! Since I had my ultrasound and quad screening and hadn't gotten the results yet she decided to look through my chart... WELL-she said that my dates didn't match...So she asked me when my LMP was and I told her DEC 9th which I am sure of because I was on fertility meds, and low and behold my chart said JAN 4th. I knew this date was wrong and had told my doctor that I saw @ 16 weeks but they didn't take it as anything serious... SO she looked at the ultrasound and told me no the DEC 9th date is how the baby is measuring (actually measuring at 29 weeks yesterday) so apparently they chucked it up to a wrong date that someone had written down! SO now I am 27 weeks and 1 day! I also tested positive for Group B Strep (boooo) but she said that when I go into labor that I need to call and let L&D and let them know because I have to have dose of IV antibiotics every 4 hours that I am in labor so it really isn't a big deal =) Also I found out that they only make you stay in the hospital 1 night (24 hours) after you have a baby unless there are complications! I am so thrilled because I dislike hospitals and want to stay the least amount of time possible =)

Wow that is so exciting! It's like being able to push the fast-forward button :-) I'm 24 weeks 5 days right now and I wouldn't mind jumping to 27 weeks....that much closer to meeting baby!

Yeah... My new EDD is September 15-16th according to my LMP of Dec. 9th and my ultrasound... I am really happy that I got to skip a few of these weeks in the middle because I haven't been sick so it wouldn't have mattered in the beginning...
Alaysha... I know what you mean but this last u/s I had the baby was measuring 5 weeks ahead (25 instead of 20) and that is what prompted the doctor to ask me... She also asked me which doctor I had been seeing because apparently they hadn't even written down my blood pressure or anything else at my last appointment! I decided I am going to continue to see her (I had to wait 4 days longer next month but to me it is worth it =) ) So really I can just chalk it up to terrible paper work!

Thats nuts!!! I wish I could skip a couple weeks! I'm surprised they didn't notice this before since your baby would have been way more developed than a regular baby in your early ultrasounds.
