whats going on with me?

hi there the names ariel. i was pregnant with twins and lost the first at 7 weeks and the second at 10 weeks. the doctor said it was rare thing that happened that the placenta from the first one stayed and attached to the other baby sack. sending a virus to the baby and killing it. turing the whole sack into a massive tumor. they set up a d&c and took everything out :( they said the tumor came back non cancerous . i bled for 2 weeks straight after the d&c . my doctor put me on birthcontrol with in the first week. i took it everyday on time and started bleeding the day before my period was suppose to start. it lasted 3 days. come to find out you arent suppose to have a period till your HCG levels are all the ways down to zero. its been 9 weeks since the d&c and my HCG are still dropping but this week it was 18.9 hcg level. im confused why its taking forever.. and why i am bleeding. i started my second packet of birthcontrol and within two weeks i started bleeding again. i stopped taking the birth control right away. its bright red then bright orange. i tried asking my OBGYN but they wont help me .. also i took a pregnancy test the other day and they STILL say positive :/ im hurt and confused. someone help me please

I agree with alaysha... It can take a while to show negetive again. My sister had a miscarriage in April and I think she retested about a month and a half later and she was still getting a positive, which made her think she was pregnant again. She wasn't pregnant so it was very misleading. I hope you are able to see a doctor who can really help you. Sorry about your loss!!

Sorry I meant to say it took 4 weeks to stop showing positive on a pregnancy test.

It can take a while for your levels to return to 0 after a miscarriage and a d&c and until they are a little lower you will still show positive on a pregnancy test and bleed on and off. When I had a d&c it took 6 weeks to stop showing positive on a pregnancy test and another 2 after that to get a period. If they havent returned to 0 in the next week though you may want to contact another doctor to get checked to make sure there is no tissue remaining in your utetus.

I don't have the slightest clue as to what you are experiencing but it defintely sounds serious enough for the emergency room I hope everything works out
