How are you doing on your weight gain?

Now that we're well into the second trimester the suggested weight gain is slightly over 1 pound a week. I know that's right about what I've been doing for the last 3 weeks. At this rate I'll be the same weight I was when my daughter was born probably around 175ish just shy of 180. My average non pregnancy weight is around 160 so that keeps me in the normal range.

I'm checking in to see how everyone else is doing with their weight gain. I know for some of us it can be hard to put the pounds on and even harder to make sure we don't gain too much.

I'm already looking forward to losing the weight after the baby is born!

don't feel too bad ladies. i'm 33 weeks and have already gained 26 or 27 pounds. i say it's definitely the food. i've had a lot of food this week that's high in sodium. so i'm blaming it on the water retention. of course, we'll see what the scale says in the next few days. so far, my weight gain's been pretty steady. as long as i don't gain too much from now until the delivery, i think i'll be okay. :)

I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow and have only gained 3 pounds total. I had a growth scan yesterday due to poor weight gain but baby is PERFECT! He's 4lbs 11oz +/- 6oz, I'm betting on the extra because he feels at least 5lbs to me.

The past few days my scale hiked up, but I had swelling and I think it was because of me eating more sodium and certain foods that I don't normally eat a lot of (meat).  Grrr
