Your OB ... male or female?

I feel very strongly about the gender of my OB doctor, but I know several women who could care less.  What is your opinion? I feel that if you don't have the equipment, then don't try and tell me how to use it.  I'm not going to try to tell you how to pee standing up, so don't tell me how to have a baby.  I want a doctor with personal experience, not second hand stories and text book knowledge.

My office rotates also, so I will get a male doc at least once our twice for my office visits.  I simply adore my doctor!  She is one of the kindest, most caring and sympathetic people you could ever meet.  she held my hand when she told me my baby had stopped growing at 10 weeks, she performed my D&C on a saturday morning and hinged me and held me while I cried during my post surgery follow up appointment.  I can't imagine anyone else delivering my baby.  I just don't think I could ever get that kind of personal attention from a male doc

The OB office I go to rotates you through all their doctors so I get male and female.  I must say though for my initial visit with the pap I do prefer a female.  But a male doctor did deliver my baby.

I had an ob that was a female with my 1st child..she was a b****..the entire time all I herd was "if I did this 12 time u can get threw this one time"...even if it was for asking for something to help with vomiting....I can't stand her...she didn't. Hear anything I ever told her...I came to her complaining of severe pain and she didn't even look at me ..she said I had gas and told me to go home and take a beno...so I went to the er and come to find out my gall bladder went out and it was causeing pancreatitus...I was in the hospital for 3 days!..so I think I'm gonna go with a male this time...I don't care if he sees my who ha!

I prefer male ob. I have been pregnant 5 times and the two females were cold, rude and hurt me during my pap. I have had nothing but good experience with male doctors so I just stick with them. I'm sure there is wonderful female ob out there but with my luck and past experiences they were not good.
