I have to get up on my hands and knees kinda sounds wei rd but its the only way I don't have any pain or pressure then I scoot to the edge of the bed backwards and put my legs down  putting the weight on my arms til I push up to a standing position the hubby laughs at me but its the only way I can get out of bed without hurting myself.

I find it worse when when I have to get up out of bed to use the toilet in the night its almost like everything drops causing extreme pressure in my pelvis lower back and hips its soooo horrible....I have to walk bent over and stagger to the toilet for the first few steps. Shannyo is right and whatever you do don't sit straight up (like an abdominal crunch movement) this is how I pulled my lumbar in my first pregnancy. go to your side first and lower legs down and push up with your arms and try and sit for a minute, which is hard when you feel like you're going to wet yourself!

I'm 39 weeks 5 days & started feeling pelvic pressure at 34 weeks when my baby 1st started to drop. Each week it has gotten a bit more intense especially now since my baby is reeeaaaallllyyy low. Surprisingly, I'm only 75% effaced & 1/2 cm dilated with only 2 more days to go....I hope. Anyway, at night use lots of pillows. This will help relieve pressure. When laying on my side, I put one under my tummy for extra support, two between my knees to give more room in my pelvis & then the last one I kinda hug. It helps keep me straightened up instead of rolling forward. When getting out of bed, drop your legs down first. That will kinda work as an anker for you to slowly lift your torso up with your arms. Just move slow. Sit on the side of your bed for a little while & let baby adjust to your movement, then slowly stand up and take smaller steps. Hold your tummy up with your hands if need be or get a belly belt for extra support. That's what helps me. There really isn't a whole lot we can do except have our babies. Ohhh, a warm bath helps relieve the aches & pain too. Good luck ladies!
