October 19th mummies getting anxious

I'm due with my 2nd girl on the 19th of October and I'm so over the waiting!
I'm trying for vbac and I know my best shot was spontaneous labour on or before my due date. The closer it's getting the more nervous in getting about having another csection (dr wants to book me in a week past my due date)
I'm trying not to stress or think about it but it's too hard!
How are all the other October mummies travelling?

Ps super disappointed as I kept getting woken up with contractions last night so I thought yay maybe this is it! But then this morning....nothing :-(

I'm due Sunday keep getting crampy pains especially in my back. Got midwives tomorrow so going to see if I can convince her to give me a membrane sweep as really having trouble with my hips :(

My dr hasn't even checked my cervix once do I've got no idea how things are progressing. Part of me is glad because I know if my cervix hasn't started thinning or dilating I'm gonna get disheartened and it doesn't really mean labour will start any earlier.
I just thought it was strange seeing as he checked my cervix at 37 weeks with my last pregnancy? So not sure if he's not checking because it's a 2nd pregnancy or because it's following a csection.
Can't say I mind though. It's downright uncomfortable and I'd rather avoid it anyway lol

The membrane stripping sounds awful and to be honest I don't think I'd want it done anyway. I like the idea of spontaneous labour because that's the only way you can be sure that your body and baby are truly ready

Membrane stripping hurts like hell depending upon where your cervix is located. If it's lower and favorable, than it's not as bad. But, mine was still high. So, (I know, I know, TMI) she REALLY had to get in there. It hurt like hell.

HOWEVER! I can't say that it "worked." But, it definitely helped. That day, I had my bloody show and I'm still losing my mucus plug. I've been pretty crampy and have had a few contractions. But, nothing that tells me to go to the hospital.

This is my 5th baby. And I've NEVER had any of my other four make it past 39 wks. I told him that if my doc wanted to do things "all natural" and not want to stripy membranes, that I was going to sit there and wait for them to find someone who will.

Keep in mind ladies: This is YOUR pregnancy. Medical professionals are supposed to guide you with their medical opinions and education. NOT with their personal beliefs and/or personal comfort zones. YOU are in charge. This is YOUR body, this is YOUR labor and this is YOUR baby.

Best of wishes!

I walked for an hour today, been eating pineapple, bounced on the fit ball for an hour, had curry for dinner and Told my hubby yesterday that he is required to report for duty tonight lol. I've got a dr appointment tomorrow sorta hoping that things will start moving before that but it seems unlikely.
What was the membrane strip like? I don't think my dr will do one, he's very hands off as he likes things to happen in their own time

I could have written you exact same post word for word except my due date is Oct 17! I'm trying for vbac and feeling pressure to go into labor before my due date. Buy part of my mucous plug just came out, so I'm hopeful!!! Just trying to not think about it and live my life. There is nothing I can really do to rush things. I just need to trust in God and wait.

I'm due the 19th as well! Just had my membranes stripped today. I was dilated to 2cm. Doc says that if she doesn't come by my due date (Sunday as you well know) to come in on Monday to see if we can get things jump started. We shall seeeeee! Hubby is SUPER anxious. I told him we're going for a walk tonight and then coming home and having sex. But, after he witnessed the membrane strip... He's too scared. Lol... We'll see though. Might just have to rape the man! ;)
