17P Progesterone Shots

Has anyone gotten these shots? I had a preemie at 31w5days my last pregnancy. Now pregnant with my 2nd and my Dr is suggesting these shots. Just curious if anyone has heard anything about them or had them. Thanks.

I am getting them this pregnancy as well my first my water broke and delivered at 32 weeks..my doctor said I will get them from sixteen weeks to 36 weeks every week I am eleven weeks now and since I found out I have been on progesterone oills form stop them at twelve weeks and nervous cause from twelve weeks to sixteen so for four weeks no extra progesterone and don't want to lose my baby. I had to start meds early cause last year I had miscarriage

I have to go be evaluated to see if I need these next week! :( Not happy about it. My water broke at 35 weeks with my first pregnancy. From what I've researched they're quite effective in delaying preterm labor but can come with all sorts of side effects. She said they're weekly until you reach full term.

I had gotten the steroid shots and taken the progesterone  vaginally with my first child who was 27+4 preemie.
