Emergency

I'm 39 weeks and 2 days.. And having period like cramps from 3am..i went to the loo at around 5.30 and saw blood. It wasn't on my panty though.. I'm wearing a pad now.. And I thought I'll wait for some time until the blood stains on the pad.. What should I do. I'm getting cramps on and off too.

Thank you so much for all your concern... I got back from the hospital few hours back.. They did a PV exam to check if I have dilated. But unfortunately no.. And had to do few scans to monitor the baby's heart beat. The bleeding has stopped now and I was asked to take paracetamol if had pains.. Hopefully I'll dilate soon..and meet my little champ..

Could be your bloody show, I know I got very bloody when I was in labor during my bloody show. It was like a period type blood at first, then I lost my plug and everytime I went to the bathroom, I had these huge chunks come out for a few hours. Just check to see if chunks of a mucus type discharge comes out. If it's not, call labor and delivery for your hospital and see what you should do.
