Leg cramps...

Since I entered the third trimester I've been getting leg cramps every night. I tried wrapping them, elevating, Tylenol, bananas, etc. In the morning my legs are so sore , I eat bananas like crazy and still every night like clock work. It's bad enough I work evening, now the leg cramps keep me up. Does any one have any suggestions on what I can do to help my poor legs.

I also have bad leg cramps, my ob from my last pregnancy told me to take a calcium supplement and it helped a lot! Im 29 wkks and just started taking them again because the baby will take 200mg of calcium a day from you and if your intake isn't enough then the baby will take it from you. I always assumed it was a potassium thing as well I would have never thought calcium. It's worth a try it may help you.

I've tried it all, and trust me I drink tons of water. I increased my potassium, tried massages, tylenol. When I talked to my dr about it, she said that there really is no known reason it happens. They just assume it's potassium or dehydration. But it could also be the simple fact that your legs are now supporting an extra 15+ lbs. And your posture has changed as well as the way you walk. So honestly there isn't anything that's positive to work. Just try a few things and if nothing works know that you are almost there!
