Mucus Plug

I've noticed small amounts of green mucus when I wipe.  Not every time though.  Over the the last 3 days, I've noticed the mucus 3-4 times maybe and always in small amounts.  I'm assuming it's the mucus plug.  I know it can grow back, but being 34w, is it likely to do so? I have not noticed any contractions so I'm not worried about going into labor soon.  Is it usual to lose little bits of it over a series of days?  Does it mean I'm less likely to get to the full 40w (6w away!)?  I have a dr appointment already scheduled for Friday, but I figured I'd see what you ladies have experienced.

I had green mucus and didn't think it was anything. My doctor checked for a bladder infection but it was negative. I went for two more weeks seeing it just every once in a while with no odor or any other symptoms. Then a week ago I was in so much pain I couldnt move all the way in my kidneys.  I ended up going back to the doctors where she did a swab test and found that I had a really bad yeast infection.   So I would ask to be checked just in case.

The only reason I thought that was because it looked like some of the pictures on Google Images of "mucus plug".  I'll certainly mention it to my dr on Friday and see what she says.  There was no odor and was mixed in with regular clear discharge.

I agree with mags, you should inform your dr. I also have never heard or experienced my mucus plug being green. It might be an infection, just make sure you get it checked out

Yes u can lose ur plug n regenerate even if ur close to 40. But it's usually pinkish or red not green. Does it have an odor? Maybe it's an infection. I would tell my doc just to make sure. I've even heard of it being clear.. u never know maybe it can also be green. I just never heard of it being green
