Advice for telling kids?

I just told my 4 year old that I'm having a baby. She cried and said "no, mommy I only want to be your baby". Now she won't tell me and she keeps crying.  I feel like a bad mom now. How do I chance her out look?

Aww bless her the cutie, show her videos make her about her, like shes the big sister and she'll have a little brother or sister to play with all the time etc
Take her shopping with you, get her excited about it the more she feels included the better, make her feel like theres a new member of the family not just you have a baby :) good luck xx

My 6 yr old is NOT happy. My 3 yr old is stoked. My 18 month old is impartial. There is still time for her to get used to it! She was excited about the others and the more i included her on choices the happier she was. Fingers crossed for u!

I have a little girl just turned 5,and she is very excited.
I just told her how she was going to be my helper and would be mummies very important big girl and she seemed to like the idea of being involved.
How she will behave when the baby is here I don't know as she likes to be the centre of attention.
Only time will tell ! X
