gender reveal

So we have our ultrasound to find out the gender on June 2nd. My mom is dying for us to throw a gender reveal party and find out the sex all at the same time. On the other hand, I'm really hoping for a girl and don't want to be dissapointed in front of everyone if it's a boy. Would it be dumb for me and my boo to find out the sex at the ultrasound and still throw a gender reveal party?

Thanks guys! I decided I'm going to find out the gender at my ultrasound Tuesday and have the reveal party that weekend!  But my bf is gonna wait till the gender reveal party to find out so at least one of us (plus the rest of our families) will be surprised! Can't wait, 6 more days

I would find out before. I was hoping for a girl too but I'm having a healthy baby boy. My partner already has 2 boys from a previous marriage so he was hoping for a girl too.  I was glad to find out privately first as I've been so emotional during my pregnancy that I wouldn't trust my reactions in front of anyone! Nobody would understand...I hardly even understand my own crazy emotional responses to random things :)  I'm delighted now to be having a healthy boy and have loved sourcing baby blue items for him. Yeah you can definitely choose to find out before or with everyone. It will still be a surprise to everyone else either way! I just had my gender reveal today and was surprised with everyone and it was AMAZING! We are having a baby boy! :) we just wanted a healthy baby, but I wish you the best of luck!

We are doing that. We find out sex June 8 then will have the reveal on the 20th

I'm throwing a gender reveal we already had our ultrasound and the results are sealed in an envelope. We really want a girl and I'm scared we may have a boy but its OK as long as the baby is healthy but I would say wait it out don't find out the gender and have the party and just don't expect anything far as the gender and just have fun and whatever the outcome is just embrace having a healthy baby.
