Question about GD

I just got diagnosed with Gestational diabetes and I was wondering what are some easy snacks and meals to prepare? I work 12 hour shifts at a vet clinic, so im definitely going to have to start meal and snack preps.

String cheese, peanut butter, granola bars & yougurt are pretty easy snacks. Make sure you try & pair protein with your carb choices. It helps to keep your sugar level & less crashing.

Beef jerky, string cheese, I would eat one serving of carbs with as much protein as I wanted every 2 to 3 hours. Definitely no sugar but it helps to walk for at least 15 min after each meal. Watch out with fruits Iuusually count them as my carb when I would snack. I had GD last pregnancy and it was a challenge but I stuck to my diabetic diet and was able to control it. The great thing about it is I only gained 26 lbs total, unlike this time around I'm 30 weeks and have already gained 27! Good luck and remember its only temporary you will get to eat your treats soon:)

I've been doing mason jar salads. Just look them up, there are so many diffrent ways to make them. And it's quick and easy.
I snack on alot of the baked chips, popcorn and nuts. I've been addicted to to cheese lately.
Just keep your portions controlled and balance it out.
