Sore

hi ladies I currently am taking antibiotics for a kidney infection today will be my last round of them but I am having a sharp pain in the left side of my vagina it's only sore when touched or when wiping it has been sore for the past few days and I treated myself for thrush but this pain hasn't gone away just wondering if it's something I should be worried about or if it's common? Im 25 weeks

I'm 25weeks and getting the same pain like a sharp stabbing pain my friends who have had babies say it's common though so I'm trying not to worry but if it keeps up I will mention it to my midwife. Hope u feel better soon

Idk if it's common but I'm a FTM and I had a kidney infection as well and once I started taking the antibiotics I felt raw down there to the touch I think it might be the mess because once I was finished it went right away just drink a lot of fluids and stay clean and dry down there that's what worked for me best of luck to you and feel better

You might need a 2nd dose of antibiotics, I did, the first antibiotic didn't suit me. You should go to your doctor and get checked over, no harm to be sure it's cleared up, kidney infections are horrible!!!!

Am having the same problem I dnt know what to do my midwife said try Monistat so am going to try that

Omg!! I had a kidney infection a few years ago...but I can not even imagine what it would be lime to have one while also pregnant! :( I am sorry to hear you are going through this right now. Hopefully it will get better soon!

I had a kidney infection at 12 weeks and had the same problem and ended up passing 2 kidney stones. I'd talk to your Dr about it for sure.

Yes I had a kidney infection as well when I turned 18 weeks , it was to the point where the pain was so bad in my kidney I had to go to the emergency room I thought I was going in labor .. But they kept me there for a week to watch it & it eventually got flushed out , they put me on antibiotics too. Matter fact I'm still on them bc I'm prune to them while pregnant ! Never had a kidney infection before in my life , I know how that feels. I would say make sure everything is ok call midwife just for a urine sample , that would be enough for them to see anything . I am now 25 weeks & still keeping an eye on it. Good luck to you!!
