heart beats

Hi ladies, im a FTM and had my 8 week ultrasound but they didnt let me hear the baby's heartbeat. Is it something I need to ask or did they just not bother?
I'm 10 weeks now and dying to hear my baby's little heart beat !! :(

We saw it on the ultrasound and heard it at both 6.5 weeks and just yesterday at 10 weeks. The first one was at my fertility specialist which had fancier equipment and the heartbeat is printed on one of the pictures they gave me, which gave me a lot of comfort over the 4 weeks til the next one. Sorry you didn't get to experience it yet - definitely ask next time - I don't see why it would need to be a separate appointment.

I heard my baby's heartbeat yesterday at  8 weeks and didn't have to ask.

I heard my baby's heart beat first apt at 6 and a half weeks and again at 8 and a half week. :)

When I scheduled my first baby appointment at 8 weeks, I was told I was going to hear my baby's heartbeat. They just gave me 3 pictures and showed my the heartbeat. I'm definitely asking next time.

Around 12 wks they might do the heartbeat appt

From what I can remember at the first ultrasound they just handed me 2 pictures. I think they do a seperate appt for the heartbeat. But every place is different.
