I've been using palmer cocoa butter and thankfully I have not gotten a single stretch mark. I was average weight but my belly is pretty big I should have gotten stretch marks but I havent. I usually put it on after I shower and at night.
Try and encourage your skin to produce more collagen to improve its elasticity. Stay well hydrated! Drink at least 1 and a half litres of water dispersed throughout the day. Eat oranges, walnuts and avocados. Avoid foods and drinks that dehydrate such as sugars, caffeine and processed/salty foods. Whatever cream/lotion/oil you put on your skin, put it everywhere after you shower when you skin will absorb it best. The skin is one organ so a stretched belly can cause marks on your butt or thighs if you skin is dry there. Personally, I make my own lotion by melting bees wax, coconut oil, olive oil, rose hip oil and some essential oils. This has worked for me so far and I'm 28 weeks and have put on more than the recommended weight too!! I got stretch marks on my hips at puberty so I know I'm prone to them. Good luck!
sadly stretch marks are genetic as they are based on the elasticity of your skin. However, I have been using straight vitamin E oil (brand: jäson) morning and night... Also have been using palmers cocoa butter throughout the day. Whatever you do don't scratch and keep yourself as moisturizer as possible.
