im on my 37th week and still stayin at work for a week more, by then, ill be 38. its really uncomftable having to mind stressfull students when youre in full term...
My boss wouldn't have me on past 36weeks as our work is very physical with lots of lifting, carrying and moving around a lot. I miss work already - it's only been a week haha. Can't wait til bub gets here. I'm lucky enough that hubby is financially able to support us so I have this bit of "me-time" before the baby comes.
Listen to your body and don't put unnecessary stress on yourself. Good luck x
I went on maternity leave at 36 weeks but in the UK we get 12 months maternity leave, 9 of which are paid. My job involved alot of movement though so I suppose if I had a less active job then I would have stayed a bit longer before taking my leave :)

Is nice to spend as much time with your baby but you also need some "me" time!!! I would suggest get off by your 37th week... That way you get everything ready for baby have time to sleep and relax and also to spend with your significant other...
I'm working until the week before my due date. I'd work until I went into labor but with the kind of work I do, I need to be able to give my clients a date for when they'll transition to another clinician.
Try stay work as long as you can now, as you will really appreciate the extra time with your baby afterwards. You poor thing...The 2 hour journey sounds horrific for you, I'm not surprised you have swollen feet. Make sure you circle your ankles when you're sitting or standing for a any length of time. Even when driving, try flex your feet when you're stopped at lights or in traffic. It helps keep the blood flowing which will help get the swelling down. Also, elevate your feet above hip level whenever you can.
I think you should wait til your 38 or 39 weeks cause just incase baby comes later you have more time with her even tho I know it's stressful but try to hang in there as long as your able too
My c section is the 16th and my last day of work is the 11th.. I CANT wait! It's been hell working full term.
Have a c-section schedule for the 13th of October. I'll stop working on the 9th. Feel good but I aslo need the money.
I'm due on the 8th and still working. I did cut down to Tuesday through Friday around 37 weeks. Two days stocking freight and two days cashiering and I plan on working til I pop. Only so I can use all the time with the baby, 12 weeks will fly by. Good luck!
I'm having a c-section on the 13th and my last day is the 8th. But that's just me.. It's been hard getting up everyday but I gotta do it.
