Thank you all for your comments. I going to work another 2 weeks and see how i feel at end of that :)
I was a supervisor of a house with special needs adults during my first pregnacy. I left a month before my due date. I had gestational diabetes and bad asthma, so working in a high stress job was getting to me. I also got into a very serious car accident at the end of my 8th month.
I was not returning to work after I had the baby, so I decided it was time to throw the towel in for both of our healths..
Do what you feel is best, talk to your doctor. Everyone's situation is diffrent.
I'm 33 weeks and planning to work until the week before my due date. I'm a bartender, and it has become an increasingly awkward and ironic job to have while pregnant.
Im 34 weeks and I work at a kindergarten. Thank God I still have my energy plus we need the money. I plan to work till week 36. I asked my boss if I can just have one shift a week from 36 weeks onwards. A little money is better than no money. But I think if youre a first time mom its good to take off early enough to spend time with yourself before you get ready for the next 18years of your life without a parenting break. And time to rest is always great! Better you do it whilst you can incase your baby is demanding!!
I work retail and am on my feet for 6-10 hours each day. I am 35 weeks currently and still going. It's a lot of work and I'm starting to feel the affects from it, but I'm still going at it. I'm hoping to work until I go into labor unless my dr tells me otherwise. I would see what your dr wants you to do and see if they feel like you can continue to work.
I'm 34 n plan on working til I go into labor. I did the same with my last pregnancy. Some days r bad for me (like yesterday ) but mostly I'm ok as long as I keep walking around n not sitting all day. I also take a small pillow for when I do need to sit down. I work in law enforcement so I'm the only girl with a bunch of men. But they all r understanding. N keep on telling to take breaks or asking how I'm feeling. I already told them that I'm gonna work till I go into labour so they said if anything they would take me to the hospital in a patrol car. Lol but I honestly think they are will start panicking if I do go into labour there even if they act tough lol
Im also 32 weeks and work on a dairy farm with hard physical labor. Im starting to becoming increasing tired with the work and the long days so Ive started stepping back a bit and cutting my hours some ( this is a family owned farm so others just step in), but I'm not offered any maternity leave so I'm working for as long as I can and my husband and I have been saving money so things wont be so tight this winter ( I live in Maine) when its cold and snowy!
I am a retail store manager. I am always on my feet and going for 10 hrs a day. I wear compression socks to help with feet swelling and a belly support band to help the pelvic pain. I am also exhausted by the end of the day. I hope to work up to my due date or when the Dr tells me to stop. That way I can take my time off after my baby gets here. I am 32 weeks.
