Working Until 38 wks!

I'm so ready to go on maternity leave. I'm tired, wobbling and starting to hurt down there. I'm trying to hold out so I will have more time with my little girl wen she gets here. So close but so far away!

I am working up to 39 weeks +2 days. It is starting to get a little rough working 12 hour shifts at night and standing on my feet for long periods of time. But just think about this, I only have 3 more weeks until I am done with work, which means you have less! The more I think about leaving work though, the more I am starting to miss it already.

Same! I'm actually working until the day I get contractions. And go into labor. My manager is only allowing 6 weeks of maternity leave so I don't want to waste any time that I could be spending with my little baby boy. I'm currently 38+4 weeks and it's so hard for me to wake up in the morning and by the time I get home im so exhausted! I get all crampy and sore. But it's okay! I just think to my self of how much I will love spending time with my baby. Good luck ladies! :)

I'm right there with you. 34 weeks and trying to work until 39, 12 hour shifts at the hospital are killing me. Can't wait for this to be over!

I am so glad the law in Norway mandate that maternity leave starts from 37th week because I can barely walk!!! The tummy is now so heavy that getting up, standing and walking is horrible! !

I'm currently 35 weeks and if all goes as planned I'll be working till 39+2. I already have to force myself to keep going though. I have a really easy desk job but I've been experiencing so much swelling in my feet and now that babies gotten bigger it's hard to sit upright for that long every day. Plus sleep has gotten much more difficult and so the discomfort mixed with the exhaustion is making me very irritable and quick to anger. My poor hubby gets the brunt of it in the morning I'm afraid :(

At the same time though I don't want to start leave too early because I think I may go crazy just sitting st home waiting for baby to come. So it's 6 of one half a dozen of another

I am 37 weeks I said I would work till 38 weeks but im exhusted so wanted to start mat leave earlier...i work for the nhs. I was told I couldn't take the extra leave as annual leave as too many people are off and I cant start my maternity leave a week earlier unless I get a doctors note, this is what I plan on doing. Im up at 5am with insomnia.... The mananger really upset me she made me feel like a wimp because I said I was tired, like im tired from staying up late watching tv. Im so sad now its really put a dampener on me starting mat leave. Im sorry to rant but sometimes people are horrible :'(
