boss isnt very understanding

Has anyone out there had troubles with the bosses.

Im a child minder...have been with then 2yrs +

Mine is really stressing me out and have been no help at all since day 1. When i told them i was onky 5weeks(now 25) and her 1st reaction was "what am i gona do"!! She then went and told everyone they know even tho i hadnt even told my family. This alone really pi**ed me off!! They have even been very difficult about all of my appointments expecting me to bring the kids with me!!

Its been hassel after hassel with them

Anyone eles having problems?

Its really upsetting me to the point where im rerely happy about been pregnant and its 100% their fault.

If you're in Ireland you definitely have rights!! Go to your doctor and get signed off work for stress or say it at your next anti natal visit so you don't have to spend extra cash. Keep a diary of what is going on. This to me sounds like a clear case of bullying. Being pregnant in Ireland offers loads of benefits and your employer is obliged to be supportive of your needs in this. You gave them months more notice of your pregnancy than you needed to and they have been selfish about it and used this against you. Document what happens daily and ask for everything from them in writing so you have proof. You could take this to the labour courts as a case of bullying and I firmly think you should. Remember, much as you love the kids you are minding, they are not yours...you priority has to be looking after yourself and your unborn child. You do not need to put up with this stress. And yes, there are plenty of other child minding jobs in Ireland but you might need to stick this one out until maternity and fight for your rights. Good luck x

I think there are other child-minding jobs in the world.  Someone is always looking for good help in this area.  I'd be looking around.
