My understanding is that you only actually need to consume extra calories in the third trimester. I've read that instead of "eating for two," we should eat "twice as healthy." So have mom make you a lovely salad with good protein in it, that'll keep her busy. :)

U only need to take in an extra 300 calories a day for ur baby. Eating for 2 is just a myth.

Oh please dont say you are not wanting to get fat... that is aweful,  you are not fat, you are growing a person and they need room to grow! Tell your mom to calm it down if you are full. I like the snacking every 2 hours thing, and it will be ok. Fruits and vegies, & cheese are wonderful in between meals.

When you eat the baby recieves all the nutrients from the food before you do so dont worry about your baby! Just keep snacking! And go for daily walks

The whole you're eating for 2 is an old wives' tale. Don't believe it.
Eat a well balanced diet and you'll be alright.

You don't need to force yourself to eat. I barely eat and everything makes me full. Just try to snack often just to keep Nutrients in your body. I've lost 10 lbs already and my doc is not concerned at all. You don't want to really be gaining too much this early on anyways so the baby will be just fine if your eating a little less at this point
