I too have to take the 3 hrs test tomorrow. had failed the 1 hr test by 34 points. I hate sweeets and diabetes does not run in our family at all!! :(

Reading all your posts makes me feel little better. If diet and excercise are the only things that would be added to my daily routine, i dont mind! But the 4x testing everyday sounds little scary.. but i am sure mommies can accept all the pain and trouble for the babies.. anything for them♡♡

I'm almost 30 wks and have it too. I have a strict diet, along with testing my blood sugar 4x daily. I was told to stay away from deep fried foods. Waiting to meet with the nutritionist now :(

Im 29weeks on sat and found out yesterday i have gd. I find out excatly what will happen on tuesday but for now iv a meal plan to follow and have to excersize to.

The nurse said its controlled with excersize and diet which is gona be intresting because i cant excersize much as iv pelvic girld pain aswell. I wouldnt mind but my baby really doesnt like sweet things so i just think this is unfair. Haha

Im 26 weeks & have GD. You can still have sweets & all the fun stuff just in moderation. Its all about eating frequent meals. For most women it goes away after the baby is born but your risk of developing diabetes later in life is higher.
