It could be water weight. I was told, because I started this pregnancy off at around 290 pounds and now weigh 272, that because I'm eating healthy due to eating what I crave (fruits, veggies, chicken, potatoes and tons of fruit juice) instead of eating what I wanted like before (cakes, heavy heavy Mexican food, cookies, sugar sugar sugar) I may lose 25-30lbs. And do it healthily and the baby will be just fine. Being pregnant has actually jump started my terrible metabolism and I'm burning calories now instead of packing on the lbs. Water weight and bloating can screw with your weight big time. And then it's gone the next day lol. This pregnancy, 8 weeks 5 days, has been the best thing that could happen to my body. It seems to be resetting my hormones (was diagnosed bipolar when I was 13 I have never felt more levelheaded) resetting my metabolism, all in all its doing my body good...now I wish it didn't fight it so much. Nasea, boobs are gonna fall off, lower right side pain. But the baby is a perfect and healthy lil peanut with a heart rate of 160. ♡♡♡ good luck darling.

I'm scared to gain too much weight too. Im already up 4 lbs at 9 weeks. I try not to stress over it too much. The more you stress, the more likely you are to put on the extra weight. I've been doing my same workout routine as before and eating properly. However, it's just inevitable you will gain weight wile pregnant. You are most likely retaining lots of water and if your beasts have gotten bigger, well there are your 3 lbs. Focus on giving your baby a healthy diet rather than worrying about the weight. Thats what I'm doing. The weight will come off after the baby is born - relax and enjoy your pregnancy! :)
