Question for anyone with a child already.

ive been in a monogamous relationship with my husband so I def havs not cheated. He swears up and down he hasn't and I believe him. When I got tested for chalmydia in December while pregnant it came back negative, however at my 6 week postpartum check up I found out I havs chalmydia and have no idea how. This is about to ruin my marriage. Does anyone know if one of the test could be wrong? False postive maybe? Now I'm analyzing everything and I had my baby vaginal and the aftermath all the bleeding and discharge etc im so worried and thinking maybe the was symptoms of the infection

And hon, in doing some searching, you CAN get false positives.  Talk to your doctor for your best source of information.  good luck

Hi there.  The thing about chlamydia is that you CAN actually have false tests.  Usually it is a false negative and that is why they make you take three tests that all have to say negative before you are considered disease free.  SO, there is the off chance that he had chlamydia and got a negative test but was really positive so he has had it for a bit and then passed it on to you, so didn't actually cheat when with you.  So, how long were you together before that test in December?  Could he have always had chlamydia and that test was a negative?  I'd ask your doctor this exact question.  

Yes, there is a chance he has cheated but chlamydia is a tricky bug.  It can hang out undetected at times.  good luck

I agree i don't think there's any other way that could happen and during pregnancy seems to be a common time for men to cheat it happened to my sister.

No its not a false positive. Someone isn't telling the truth. Chlamydia doesn't just pop up. Someone has stepped out on the marriage and of it was him, and he was Nast enough to have unprotected sex with someone else while you were pregnant you really need to evaluate your marriage. Don't be naive hun... only one of two ways you got it .. either you cheated or he did. It's simple as that.
