Anger

Is getting mad and screaming harming my unborn baby?  I have a 7 year old who is constantly trying to get me to get mad at her and there are times were I get to my breaking point and do scream at her. I try to breath it out. I don't want nothing to happen to my unborn child since it was hard for me to fall pregnant again.

Babies need to feel the different emotions. Don t feel guilty of beeing sad or angry he or she will need to know what it is :)
Just explain him or her that if u re angry it s not because of him or her :)
That s all :)

Keeping your volume low is only the first step,  elibi,  is what I'm saying.

Seven year olds can be VERY frustrating because they are always trying to push the boundaries,  push for more freedom.  That's pretty typical.

But if you are right in saying she's trying to make you angry,  that's something that needs to be solved in a more comprehensive way than just not escalating your volume when she does that.

I do not scream at my 7 year old frequently only once in a while we're she does get to my breaking point. I know what I need to do to stay calm.

This is a bigger question than will the unborn baby be affected by screaming at the 7 year old frequently.

Yes,  this kind of atmosphere - where your relationship with your 7 year old is such that she seems to purposely try to incite you to lose your temper,  and you often do.  That's the bigger issue,  and yes,  that kind of dynamic in the family will be harmful to the baby.

Can you seek out parenting education or family counseling?  If she is truly trying to make you scream,  and succeeding in that,  you need to get help getting that dynamic back in order before your baby comes.

No you're baby won't be affected.  It's true that stress hormones will be raised slightly but occasionally getting mad is not going to do anything to the baby.  They aren't even fully conscious.

Anything you feel the baby feels but your baby will be fine. Just try to stay more calm. I have a 7 year old at a 22 month old so i know what you mean when you hit your breaking point but just try to stay calm.
