Grandma problems

I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard place. Me & the father of my child have been together for 5years+. His mom gave me such a hard time for two years, but afterwards we developed a bund. Everytime she needs something she calls me and I am happy to give it to her. Things couldn't be better.. Until I found out & told them I was 10weeks pregnant. I'm so emotional & to hear that she said she wouldn't get anything for the baby. I don't know what to do. Do I need grandma or not?

My grandfather told me "I'm not going to congratulate you. in fact I'm sorry to hear that" first reactions aren't always the best. but blood is blood. she may not be excited now but she will be once the baby is born.

I would recommend sitting her down and asking her why she's not happy about the baby and why she said she won't be getting anything for the baby. There's a reason she's acting like this. Maybe she wanted you and her son to be married before you had children. Maybe she thinks she won't be seeing her son as much once the baby is born. It's best to get this resolved as soon as possible so she can be involved in your pregnancy.

I hope so. I just don't want to be pregnant and alone.
