Well, let's think about this as lovers. Can lovers have a great relationship if they live on separate coasts?
No.
Well, you would have a 4 hour time difference so whoever does not have the child won't be able to talk to the child on weekdays. (If you get done with work on the east coast at 5 it's 9 on the west coast) It would be very difficult to have the child go from coast to coast for visits. How would you arrange child care? What happens when once the child is in school? Anyway you look at this one parent is going to be a full time parent and the other will see the child a few times a year and talk on weekends. Not really co-parenting if you ask me.
Probably not. how can one person be a true part of the babies life if they live thousands of miles away? You can call and Skype but that is really different than parenting. Just my opinion
