Is this normal?

Hello everyone.  I am 17 weeks pregnant and I am concerned about my weight gain.  I started by losing two pounds in the first couple of months and since then I have only gained 1 pound.  Is this normal?  I'm sure I look a little bigger (more like bloated), but shouldn't I have gained more weight by now?   Is the baby ok that I haven't?  It's my first baby and I have no clue.  By when should I start really worrying if I don't gain weight or should I even worry at all. Thank u.

I'm 20 weeks and 2 days and have lost 12lbs since getting pregnant and the doctor says that the baby is just fine. I have been sick everyday since 5 weeks I guess that is why I keep losing weight.

Thank u very much. I'm going for my first sonogram on Monday.  Hopefully they'll tell me everything is alright with the baby and that the pregnancy is going well.  Take care.

If this is your first especially, I am sure you are fine. As long as the baby is growing normally you have nothing to worry about. Some women lose first then gain, and some start gaining right away, like me. I sometimes wish I could go the first couple months without gaining anything so I know its all baby, and not eating too much at first. Then again, I guess this is #3 for me so its not too bad right? Lol!!! Oh well. NO worries here. I didnt even know I was pregnant until I was 2 1/2 months with my first 10 years ago. :-) So each pregnancy and woman is different. Dont worry hun!
