Re: Baby Shower

So today me and my best friend went to look at this hall where she suggested i should have the baby shower, they had two rooms availabe, one on July 11th and July 26th, two different style rooms.  Old Country Buffett does not let you reserve Banquet Rooms on weekends, only weekdays, so i dont want to take a chance and go there and not have enough seats for my guest.

Both the rooms were very nice, but it looks like i will be taking the room on the 26th being i dont think i will be completly ready july 11th.

Along with my invitations i am sending every one a copy of the registry(bcuz some people are lazy and dont even look them up lol)  Im also sending an agenda, bucz i want to start on time and finish on time(besides, the buffet dinner is only for an hour n half so i want people to come on time)

I must admitt, i am getting so excited, time is really going by fast now.

I still need to print out the sheets for games, get the gifts for the games, and the gifts for the party bags.

How is everyone else doing with there planning, oh yea, i need to find a place to make my cake, im debating on a the bottle cake or a 3 tier present cake.  What is everyone else doing for a cake?

I'm doing a lot towards my own shower also.  It's basically me, my mom, and my MIL.  I am taking care of the invitations, party favors, decorations, etc.  My MIL is in charge of food, and my mother is in charge of the reserving the party room at the hotel we're using.  I really think it's better if several people pitch in.  I can't imagine doing it all by myself, though.  So expensive!  The cost of throwing myself a shower would amount to more than the gifts I'd receive, I'm afraid.  And, I really just don't want to over extend myself.  I'm so worn out these days as it is, these twins are really starting to grow.

Latrice, our planning is going really slow actually.  Hopefully we will nail things down more this week and we can get the ball rolling.

yes, my first child (14years ago i threw my own shower). I  will be throwing my own shower with this baby, my best friend and sister offered to help, but i didnt ask them. Its sorta normal here, most people throw there own parties and people offer to help.

There are times ive went to baby showers and it was thrown by someone else or it was a suprise, but people are not shocked here when you say your throwing your own shower.
