38week apt 2mrw

Hey ladies my 38week apt is 2mrw, im hoping i have dialated more than the 1cm that i am.  Today i lost some of my mucus plug, it was a lot but not bloody or anything.  Then i lost some more 2nite, hopefully things will start moving along, i did have menstrual like cramps all day 2day.  

My cousins funeral is 2mrw, the immediate family got to view the body today and it was very emotional, im just hoping i dont go into labor during the funeral. its from 10-12 and my dr appt is at 3pm.

Question?  Does anyone belly get hard like when you have contractions but without the pain.  My belly gets hard off and on but i dont have any contraction pains, then there are times it gets hard and i have a contraction pain, anyone no why t hat is?

apt went well i guess. IM 2cm BUT my cervix is still HI and FIRM not the words i wanted to hear, sighsss. I told her if the baby dont come by the 18th i dont want to wait a week to be induced, i would like to schedule it for the next day or day after, she said ok, hope she was not sayn it just to be sayn it lol.  My next appt is not until the 14th, 4 days b4 my due date bcuz she is booked thursday and friday, so i gota call on those days to see if people cancled bucz i should be seeing her on the 11th.  Oh well, hopefully baby will come b4 then.

Funeral was very emotional, im gona take a few days to get my head str8, if i happen to go until labor b4 i log back on i will send a note.

Latrice, I've been having the same thing, hard belly with no pain. I was like what's going on. everytime i stand for too long I get them back....

I hope things start progressing for both of us soon. We are neck to neck now!

I agree with Chantal, I would get hardening of the stomach all the time, but you will know the difference! Hope your appointment goes well today!

As for the contractions...if your belly is hard and there is no pain, it's just a BH. I get them at times. The ones that are painful, are the ones that have the power to change your cervix and move baby down. If they are painful, they are much stronger than BH. Always a good sign. When you are in labor, you will have the painful ones and you will know!!
