Birthing classes

I got information yesterday on the classes offered at my hosptial. The nurse told me to register in the next month because the classes fill up months in advance. It seems way to early to even be thinking about this kind of thing.

Anyone else planning on taking a class and when? I think I will sign up for something in June.

I've never taken any birthing classes before.  After 5 kids, I won't this time either.  IMO, it hurts and it will hurt no matter how I breathe, BUT, some people swear by them.  So, I am sure that they help some people.  But for me personally, I don't think they would help me.

Latrice is right though....It would just be one less thing you have to worry about closer to the baby being born.  Things will get more hectic the closer it gets.

Well when i had my first ob appt. They gave me a packet with birthing classes and the hospital registration form for births.  Although it seems like its to early, its really not, sometimes you dont want to be rushing in the end. Im a planner so i plan a lot of things. I already filled out my hospital form and mailed it in.  Im only going to the birthing class if DF wants to go. I did it with my first son and remember all that stuff, and besides, im a Nurse lol.  But if he wants to go  i will be mailing that paper in within the next month. Classes to fill up, the ones they offer here where we may go only has 20 seats per session.

Just look at it this way, that is one thing out the way you have to worry about.
