Prune juice will help with constipation...my doc told me to mix it with orange juice wth lots of pulp (it makes it taste a little better too)...it worked in about 15 minutes....

Tijuana, i dont follow the things you have mentioned in your mail.im in singapore and not sure if we get all these here.
Sphillips, this morning i did exercise, walked for 30 mins etc but nothing seems to help. read in the "what to expect...." book that i should be having more of wholemeal and oats,fibre etc. Also read that prune juice may do the trick...so was thinkin of trying it.
And i need to avoid white bread, white rice,sugary sweet stuff and ofcourse 100% agree to this list of urs:beans, cabbage, onions, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus and corn;

All along i was glad that 'Thank God' i dun have constipation issue, but now all set..i have it in :( :(

Will update u guys on what helped...hope something helps soon.

Actually the carbination in soda water can contribute to gas. Is it possible that you are slightly lactose intolerant? That can cause gas for sure. Here are some foods you can cut to see if it helps: beans, cabbage, onions, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus and corn; fruits such as pears, apples, prunes and peaches; whole grain products and oats; milk, ice cream and cheese; and carbonated drinks. Obviously you can't cut them out of your diet all at once. You might try a few things at a time to see if it makes a difference. I found out that during my pregnancy I've been very 'sensitive' to broccoli, so I don't eat it and I get to skip the gas.  :-)
Exercise can help, like a walk around the block. Mint leaf tea works too. Thats all I can think of right now. I hope that helps.

Hi Radhika,

I know the feeling! I am full of gas and it comes out of BOTH ends!! LOL It seems to get worse at night when I am in bed trying to sleep. I notice that I have to belch a great deal...no matter if I am full or not...so uncomfortable...I try Tums, but that doesn't really help so I do drink ginger ale or something with "bubbles" in it to help me release the gas...

As far as the constipation, when I notice bowel issues, I drink a glass of pink lemonade Metemucil (sp?)...

I hope you get some relief soon!
