Had 30 week appt today

I had my appt today, OB said baby is doing well, i gained 7lbs in a month (WOW) i was shocked. Even though when i went to work today i felt big as ever, the patients felt so sorry for me, saying things like how can they let you work waddling like that lol.  My belly is 31cm and OB gave me a paper for light duty work and a order for physcial thearpy, she thinks it will help my sciatic nerve pain.  I asked if baby was head down, she said she cant tell but she doesnt get concerned until 36 weeks, thats when she checks.  No mentioning of a NST, or no checking to see how my cervix is.  I am so jealous of the rest of you ladies who are getting all the attention from your OB'S :)  I wish i was getting another U/S.  I thought i would have the money to get a 3d U/S but doesnt look like it.   Oh and i go back in 3 weeks, i just new i would be going back in 2 weeks.  So i will be 33 weeks when i go back then she probably wont see me for another 3 weeks then maybe every week after that, sighssssss.  I guess i will take that as things are going well for me and baby.

I had my appt. Friday as well and everything was uneventful, which is good of course.  Just heard the HB, he measured my stomach and asked how I was feeling.  He then said he would see me again in 2 weeks and to call if I had more than 6 contractions in an hour.  Oh, that's because I was having lots of contractions last Tuesday and almost had to go in, but they quieted down on their own so I cancelled the appt. and kept my Friday appt.

And yes ladies, it is officially the count down now.....

Glad to hear all is well!!  Being checked every week isn't exactly fun...I'll be honest. I'm always a nervous wreck seeing my doc. thinking something is wrong. With my son I barely saw my midwife the entire pregnancy, it was great actually. =) Just means everything is going smoothly and baby is perfectly healthy. Let the countdown begin. Time will fly by now, hopefully!

Juana: i havent gave them the letter yet, i will monday.  Not due back to work until wednesday, so that gives them time to absorb that information.

Everytime i look in the mirror im like WOW, how many babies r in there lol. And to think i have 10 more weeks to go, plenty of time to gain more wt.  My mom was telling me 2 months ago your gona blow up your last two months.  Im still in shock of how i gained 7lbs in weeks.

I'm also glad to hear things are going well. I have to say I'm a little jealous that you don't have the extra exams and ultrasounds. It seems like if they go looking for a problem they will find one so cherish the event free appointments.

I hope the pt helps with your siatic pain. I imagine working fewer hours will help some too.

Glad to hear things are going well with your appointments and the pregnancy...Trust me, weekly appointment can become a little nerve wrecking...the only joy is seeing my little one on the screen every week! My DH saw your belly pic and asked me if you were full term...I told him no and he was like well is she having more than one! Men can be a mess...So what did your job say about you being placed on light duty by your doctor?
