Hey ladies... I just fount out last night that I'm going to be a mommy =] I'm super stoked and excited =] But also becoming a worry worm because I just don't know what to expect, and if I'm doing this right, making sure that I don't increase any risk for a m/c. So ladies just bare with me as this is my first...Lol Cause I'm sure I'm going to have a lot of questions to ask...

But Congrats to everyone =] And a healthy 8 months =]

This is my 1st time too, i agree on the anxious part completely. And in the morning when I have that uncomfortness and breathlessness, im almost in tears that my life is getting sucked outta me. the days when i dun get nausea it is a wonderful feeling of being a to-be-mommy, but otherwise i feel so sick and irritated.
iv noticed that when i feel irritated or cry and get angry, i feel the little one moving arnd a lot..as though he/she doesnt like it.I have to make sure i calm down myself quickly else the feeling of uncomfortness increases a lot!

Congratulations! It's quite a confusing variety of feelings, isn't it? I'm way excited, worried, anxious, and impatient all at once. It's my first pregnancy as well, and I've found the women here to be extremely helpful. Definitely keep us posted on you and your little one's journey! :)

Wellcome and Congratulations and Celebrations.... Yippee for you.

I am a first time mom too and I have already balled out questions in this forum...LOL

I doubt I will be able to give you answers  from experience but I might be able to tell you what I know or as things progress with myself.

However I must add that all the other ladies on this forum are just Fabulous!

I ditto 35MomofBoys. Your most important thing right now is your folic acid.  Eat healthy, don't smoke, don't drink and don't stress!

I would avoid smoking and alcohol mainly.  (Of course.)  Avoid anything with ibuprofen also.  Tylenol is okay but that's about all you can take as far as medecine.

And load up on folic acid to help prevent birth defects.  You get that in a prenatal vitamin. But it's good to get folic acid from foods also, like orange juice, kiwi, oatmeal, certain breakfast cereals(read the labels on the box), brocolli, etc.

Also you can google folic acid for more information.
