My water broke on Thursday night at 10:36 pm. The contractions came on pretty strong from there. We were at the hospital by 11:20 and I was 4 centimeters dilated and 100% effaced. It took about 1-3 hours to become one more centimeter dilated after that. I was in labor for 12 excruciating hours with NO pain meds. It was all natural, the exact way I wanted it. I kicked and screamed and finally at 11:02 am on September 4, 2009, baby Julianna Grace arrived. She was a perfect, healthy 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 18 inches long. We just brought her home from the hospital and she is absolutely perfect!
