Lower back pain...(come and go)

Hey ladies, well I wanted to find out how many of you have been experiencing similar symptoms as me. I have been having lower back pains lately and they sort of come and go. They tend to come more often at night right before bed and once I take a hot shower they disappear. I haven't called my OB yet because I figured that was normal. This is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure if I should call him or not. I have an appt on 2/27 so I'll fill in him then (I think) or should I call him sooner???

I haven't had any spotting or any type of discharge or cramping....I normally have backaches when standing for long periods of time, so I'm not sure what do do.

Have any of you experienced this? I'm almost 10 wks.

XOXO,
Ari

I have had some pretty uncomfortable lower back pain as well. I am almost 10 wks, and have been experiencing it for at least a wk and a half now. I also sit down at work all day, which may have something to do with it, I don't know.

Hot showers don't really help with mine, they really just come and go as they please. The past couple of days its been pretty fierce.. hasn't let up all day. Sleeping is unbelievably uncomfortable..

Yes...I have been having back pain for the last week or so.  I have also been put on rest because I had some bleeding and cramping last week.  I have still had some spotting but it tends to be less and less...so fingers are crossed that it goes away completely.

I am not sure if my back pain is from being in bed so much, or if it could just be from the pregnancy.  But I find of I put one pillow under my knees when I am on my back, it helps a little bit.

Good luck!

Ugh, this is probably the next worse thing than all day sickness :( any who I have terrible back crams before I go to bed (just like you) and it really *****.  Some of my frist who I have been talking to about being pregnant have said that instead of the round ligament pain being felt in you're abdomid it can be felt in the back.  Along with the fact that when your uterus streaches, it can also be felt in the back as well.  But let me ask you this, when you have your monthly friend do you tend to get back cramps or abdominal cramps, because that could be some of the reason why you're feeling more pain in the back.

You could try sleeping with a heating pad on your back or a hot water bottle.  Or you could try taking some tylenol or some excedrin back and body (there is NO CAFEEN in it, I have read the lable like 20 times trying to prove to everyone that there is no cafeen in it).  Thouse seem to work for me when I'm in a whole lot of pain.
I hope this has helped you some,
Sarah
