It has happened to people i no, i was praying that my baby cooperated when i went. And she did, she opened her legs like look at me when the tech told us what it was. Then the Dr came in just to scan everything again and then the baby mooned us, like look at me, im a girl lol.
I would be frustrated to. Hopefully you can tell my next u/s, and if baby is not cooperating, tell the tech you need to stand up for a min or even push your belly a little to make baby reposition his/her self.
During my initial scan at 17 weeks, the tech said, "Well, I think it's a boy, but it's kinda a weird angle and he wasn't being forthcoming with the pictures. It's either a boy or a very engorged girl". So, we told everyone that it was a boy but not definite. Most people laughed when I said that! Then I had a repeat scan a few weeks ago, and they confirmed it was a boy.
Yeah, I totally see your point. I could pay out of pocket but at this point I'm so devasted I don't even want to stress myself out anymore. I think I'm just going to wait until birth and try to find out anymore. This really s*cks...thanks for your inputs.
Yes it happened to me.
At 14 weeks I was told 2 boys!!!
At 16 weeks, a girl and a boy
At 18 weeks, two girls...
My dr. and the nurse thought for sure there was at least one boy in there, but at my BIG ultrasound, the u/s tech said... nope, it's definitely two girls. and it has been that way ever since.
Needless to say, I had some returning to do...
Yes it's frustrating, why don't you find a place that will look one more time for you, even if you have to pay yourself, usually it's around $125 bucks max.
It would drive me crazy (it did!) not knowing for sure.
Also if you wait till 26 weeks, there's a chance the baby will be so cramped in there that it might not cooperate during the scan. Mine are already getting cramped in there and my bottom twin hides her goodies most of the time.
Sorry you're going through this. It would drive me nuts not being able to shop yet.
