Swelling anyone?

Is anyone else having swelling in their hands, and feet?  My feet/ankles look deformed!

I have not had any swelling, but I just want to say, I admire those of you who stay on your feet all day for work.    I have a desk job but was on my feet all day last weekend cooking for a dinner party and couldn't believe how tired and sore i was at the end of the day.  You are tough people to endure that every day!

My feet have swelled just a bit a couple of times. It only happens when I have been on my feet too long and it's hot outside. Other than that, it doesn't happen. With my son I never had swelling...but most of my pregnancy was in the winter with him, this is a different experience for me now.

I've been swelling off and on around my ankles. My midwife said that I need to be drinking half my body weight in ounces plus 32 ounces. Since I've been doing that faithfully every day I haven't been swelling. And if I do swell from taking a walk or something, I just put my feet up and it goes away.

Swelling of hands and feet are pretty common.  Often it is because you are not drinking enough water.  64 oz a day is recommended.  If you are on your feet alot, this can agrivate swelling also.  If this is the case, sit back and put your feet up periodically to get the fluid moving the other direction.  and DRINK MORE H20!

Hey Lori,

I did for a short period of time but I think it was due to being on my feet for an extended period of time. My hands, feet, ankle are not swollen...keeping fingers crossed. I have been very fortunate with this pregnancy thus far.
