Little Mickey had a pretty bad cough for a couple of wks..its almost gone now. We found some Vicks BabyRub at WalMart and asked my pediatrician about it, he gave it the OK, and it worked wonders. I put it on no more than once before bed and once in the AM... with that stuff you have to be careful because there's always the horrid possibly of it opening them up to a worse virus than they already have. Cold medicines aren't allowed, and my pediatrician just said Tylenol as needed and just to wait it out....

GOOD LUCK. I was lucky because Mickey wasn't extremely fussy except for a few days. But those days were hard.. My prayers are going out to all the sick babies! :)

I had to take Mary to the dr. today AGAIN!!!  I knew on Wed. she was getting very congested.  I have been running 2 humidifiers in my room.  Using the baby vicks, saline drops w/ the bulb seringe, and giving her a prescription decongestant.  But non of that has been working.  She has not been sleeping and wants to eat but is having a really hard time since she can't breathe despite my best efforts.  So, I took her to the doc today and she has a sinus infection.  The doc gave her an antibiotic so I am hoping she will be feeling somewhat better by the end of the weekend maybe.  My poor baby has been sick a lot in her short life.  But I know my school aged kids bring home a lot of germs.  I have them use the antibacterial stuff on the hands when they get home from school but any of us can carry germs on our bodies or clothes that we have picked up from the grocery store or wherever.  It may not make us sick but can still get our babies sick with their fragile immune systems.

Anyway, I hope everyone's babies get better and please say a little prayer for Mary ladies :)

You can try this: 1tsp of mustard oil + pinch of asteofida + 10-12 carom seeds + Nutmeg (1/4 crushed)
Make the oil hot and add all this till almost burnt. Once the oil is just a bit warm, apply on Trinity's chest, head(the softer part in centre),palms, under the feet(A MUST),back.Make sure she wears socks n mittens after this.
Do this in the night and she'll b magically fine in morning.

If you cannot find any of the above, just plain WARM mustard oil will also help.

Sorry to hear the babies are sick! Bella too is under the weather and going to the dr in the morning. I guess it's just that time of year.

I was just going to suggest the humidifier as well. That seem to help Brandon a lot I would avoid giving her any baths until she feels better...especially washing her hair. If she continues with the same symptons, I would recommend taking her to the Doc especially if she is losing interest in eating and running a fever. I hope she feels better.

Hey,
Hope she feels better...MaKayla is sick too, but they are to young for cold medecine. I have been running our humidifer with the pedia care vapor pads in them. It seems to help clear up her congestion and helps her cough...

I hope you feel better too!
